It was a fun Valentine’s WEEK at our community, with a variety of activities. Our Valentine’s Day Party was filled with music, drinks, appetizers, and so many of our wonderful residents. James Shaw played Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra love songs on the piano. Residents got to dip strawberries and pretzels in chocolate fondue.
Our Child Care kids made a huge sign for their ‘Grandfriends’ and walked around the community for their Valentine’s Day Parade – waving to the residents as they went along. The kids got special valentines from the festively dressed residents (see the heart glasses and headbands!) in our Dimensions neighborhood.
There was also a Valentine’s Day Card making craft with the kids and the residents, where the seniors helped the kids make something sweet to give their parents for the special day.
We also watched a “Madagascar” Valentine-themed show with the kids and had popcorn.
A number of our residents went out to see “Love Letters” at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater on Wednesday and had a delicious salmon dinner while watching the wonderful actors.
Back at home, there was an Elegant Valentine’s Dinner as well. There’s so much to LOVE at Riley Crossing Senior Living and Child Care!
