Riley Crossing Senior Living celebrates nature and wellness in all its forms. From interactive sports like beach volleyball, floor hockey, bean bag toss to Exercise classes with Bob and Stretches with Ali we focus on enhancing wellbeing daily to improve mobility, flexibility and balance. By implementing engaging activities and spiritual programs each month, we focus on all the ways we can maintain healthy living in our community.
Our Activity Director, Ali is in charge of planning all of the activities and exercise classes we offer. She attended Minnesota State University of Mankato and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Recreation Parks and Leisure Services with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. Ali maintains her Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Degree and uses her education to plan, facilitate, and promote Riley Crossings Activity Programming. Current Exercise Programs
“Exercise with Bob” is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with Instructor Bob from Centrix Rehabilitation. Bob is an incredible instructor as he meets residents where they are at, while also getting residents to gain flexibility, range of motion, strength, and endurance through his program. We have a range of light weight hand and ankle weights to enhance strength or have the option of body weight to meet the level and need of each individual resident.
We also host a variety of wellness activities each month to keep it new and exciting. From taking walks on the weekends, playing games like sitting or standing beach volleyball, using our mini put-put on the patio or our Wii bowling league held on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Sunday we have a range of activities for all interests. Ali works to cater to all residents needs and develops programs based on residents interests, feedback, and skill level.
