Riley Crossing Child Care celebrated Valentine’s Day with our senior living residents by exchanging cards. Take a look at photos from the day!
For Valentine’s Day this year, Riley Crossing Senior Living and Riley Crossing Child Care decided to swap cards and goodies!
Our senior living community frequently plans shared activities and events with the Riley Crossing kids through our Intergenerational Programming. We believe that an integrational community “provides an opportunity for meaningful connections between generations. These connections create positive relationships that benefit the entire community.”
Our Dimensions Program residents in Memory Care worked hard to create little gift bags and cards for the kids at Riley Crossing Child Care to find and open on Valentine’s Day.
On Valentine’s Day, we safely cheered on the Riley Crossing Child Care kids as they hunted the hearts we made for them. It was fun seeing them run around the yard picking up the hearts and showing the senior living residents what they found.
Fun fact, the children often refer to our Riley Crossing Senior Living residents as ‘Grandfriends!’ The kids cherished the hearts their Grandfriends made just for them.
In return, the children made personalized Valentine’s Day cards for our senior living community! It was special receiving their handmade cards with an owl that read:
“Guess ‘Whoo’ LOVES You, I Do”
Thank you, Riley Crossing Child Care, for warming our hearts this Valentine’s Day.
